SOUND AND LIGHTING

Sound quality is definately the most important component in creating the right atmosphere for a successful wedding, I use a JBL 4 speaker system which you may appreciate are one of the best speaker systems available. Ideally the main speakers should be positioned to pinpoint the centre of the dancefloor and set at a volume level that is great for dancers to get lost in the music but also set for the comfort of other guests.

However extravagant or intimate your event, lighting compliments the sound to create the perfect enviroment for dancing. I use approximately 8-10 professional intelligent lighting fixtures that produce a professional light show. Intelligent lighting is sensitive to the beats per minute of the music that is playing, so if it is a slow song the lights move slower, if its a more upbeat piece of music the lights move faster and so on.

MUSIC

I have a music library to suit all tastes and age ranges from the past 60 years including The Latest Charts, 70s Disco, Soul and Funk, 80s, 90s House and Garage, Dance Anthems, Indie/Rock, 50s, 60s, Motown or RnB. If you would like me to work from a playlist or a particular theme for the evening i will be happy to do so. Your booking form gives you the opportunity to list any music you may wish to be played, so i can provide exactly the right performance for your event.

I always carry backup sound and lighting equipment

ADDITIONAL SERVICES (The following videos have audio, if music is still playing please close the front page before viewing)

WEDDING BREAKFAST BACKGROUND MUSIC

I have a wide range of appropriate music including Classical (Harp and Flute, Cello and Violin, Classical Guitar, Smooth and Swing Jazz, Motown Love, Traditional Wedding Music and Easy Listening Love Music which for example includes movies soundtracks such as Love Actually.
This services is very economical in comparison to hiring other live acts such as bands, harpists etc.

The audio may be harder to hear if viewing on a laptop without speakers.

CIVIL CEREMONY MUSIC

The video was filmed in July 2008 at Knowlton Court at the wedding of Peter and Leanne Williams, where i provided all the music throughout the marriage.

The guests listened to several tracks from the Love Actually Soundtrack before Leanne walked down the aisle to Eva Cassidys "Songbird". As the newlyweds signed the register, Norah Jones "Come away with me" played in the background before the amazing finale as Peter and Leanne walked out to The Beach Boys "Wouldnt it be nice".

DRY ICE/RIPPLING WATER EFFECT LIGHTING

Dry Ice and rippling water effect lighting set a very romantic atmosphere, perfect for that first dance. The light slowly changes through a sequence of colours or can be set to one particular colour to match your theme. What is different about dry ice is that it stays low around you ankles so you get amazing photos of your first dance.

SET UP

If you are including wedding breakfast background music as part of my service then equipment will be set up at least an hour before the enviroment is occupied. This is also beneficial as there is little or no setting up time prior to the commencement of the evening disco and as you break for coffee you also have the option of further background music to set the tone before your evening guests arrive.

MAKE A BOOKING

I still have availability for summer 2009. Once you have booked a venue I would recommend contacting me as soon as possible to enquire into my availability and costs. I will then provisionally reserve the date for you and send you out a booking pack via email which includes your booking form/contract and music request sheet, which will need to be printed off, completed and returned with a small deposit to secure your reservation. I will then confirm your booking in writing.
